Prairie Park Nature Center

Bi-weekly homeschool science field trips are offered throughout the school year. They are open to 6-13 year olds from 10am-12pm on every other Wednesday at Prairie Park Nature Center. Contact the nature center or Lawrence Parks and Rec online enrollment to sign up! PPNC also has many other activities offered in off-school hours for children and all ages. KU Natural History Museum

Watkins Community Museum Homeschool Sessions

The museum offers once a month classes for homeschoolers featuring a new topic every month. The class includes a themed tour, hands on project and an expert guest speaker. This year they are offering multiple sessions for both older and younger students! Website link Here!

The museum is back open to visitors and regularly holds events. There is also a wealth of options available through their Spencer Art at Home portal.
